Yes, I use this as an introduction or even a review of the terms for those students who need to hear the words/see the word many times before owning them. :)

one of the best dollars Ive spent on TpT. This didn't seem that rigorous but it created lots of discussion about which one went with the correct word. I will surely use this again.

This activity helped my students understand the differences between these terms. They seem to struggle with direct quotes and dialogue- even in 8th grade. Thanks!

My students struggle with the difference between those two as well. Happy to hear this activity helped support your 8th graders. :) Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback!

This is a wonderful source! I have used it with resource students, inclusion, and gen. ed, and it was useful with all three groups. It forces the students to actually showcase their knowledge and it helps them and me to see if they did understand a certain term. Very engaging.

Thanks. I didn't realize the preview was essentially the whole thing, as I thought there would be more sorting on the additional two pages. Short and to the point, though well done.
