Linked Through Learning

Terms of Service

Last updated October 10, 2026

Effective date: October 9, 2026

Welcome to Linked Through Learning, a marketplace where educators buy and sell teaching resources. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Linked Through Learning, LLC ("LTL", "we", "us" or "our"). They apply whenever you visit linkedthroughlearning.com, create an account, buy or download a resource, or use any other part of our website or services (together, the "Services").

Please read Sections 13 and 15 carefully. They limit LTL's liability to you, and say that disputes between you and LTL will be settled by binding individual arbitration instead of in court, and that you give up the right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class action.

1. About these Terms

1.1 Agreeing to these Terms

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. When you create an account or check out, we also ask you to tick a box agreeing to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1.2 Other documents that are part of these Terms

These documents also apply, and are part of your agreement with us:

  • Privacy Policy: how we collect, use and share personal information.
  • Seller Agreement: extra terms for anyone who opens a store and sells resources. If the Seller Agreement and these Terms conflict on a selling matter, the Seller Agreement controls.
  • Copyright Policy: how to report a resource that uses your work without permission, and what happens next.

1.3 Words we use

  • Resource: a teaching resource listed on LTL, such as a downloadable file, a video, a Google Drive file, or a bundle of resources. Free resources are included.
  • Seller: a member who has opened a store on LTL to offer resources.
  • Buyer: a member who gets a resource, whether it's paid for or free.
  • Member: anyone with an LTL account. Visitor: anyone using the Services without signing in.
  • Content: anything a member posts or uploads, including resources, previews, store profiles, reviews, questions, answers and messages.

2. Who we are and what we do

LTL runs an online marketplace. Sellers create the resources and set their prices; LTL provides the place to list them, takes payment, delivers the files, and handles customer support and sales tax.

When you buy a resource, you're getting a license from the seller who made it (Section 5). We don't create, review in advance, or endorse resources, and we aren't a party to anything you agree with a seller outside of LTL. We may, but don't have to, help resolve disagreements between members.

3. Your account

3.1 Who can have an account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Services. Our Services are for adults: educators, parents, tutors, schools and others who teach. Students and children shouldn't create accounts or use the Services. We may ask you to confirm your age or identity at any time, and may close an account we can't verify.

If you create an account for a school, company or other organization, you confirm that you're allowed to agree to these Terms on its behalf, and "you" in these Terms then includes that organization.

You can't use the Services if you live in a country or region we're not allowed to serve, or if you're on a government list of people we're not allowed to deal with. If we've closed your account, you can't open a new one without our permission.

3.2 Your information

Give us accurate, current information when you sign up and keep it up to date. Don't sign up as someone else, or use a name or email address you don't have the right to use.

3.3 Keeping your account secure

You're responsible for keeping your password private and for everything that happens in your account. Use a strong password that you don't use elsewhere. We recommend turning on two-step sign-in in your account settings. If you think someone else has got into your account, change your password and contact us straight away.

3.4 Closing your account

You can ask us to close your account at any time by contacting us (Section 18). Closing your account doesn't cancel orders you've already placed, and some information is kept afterwards, as our Privacy Policy explains. Closing a store is covered in the Seller Agreement.

3.5 If we suspend or close your account

We may, in our discretion, warn you, limit what you can do, remove content, or suspend or close your account, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. For example, we may do so if:

  • you break these Terms or any document that's part of them;
  • we believe your account is being used for fraud, abuse or anything illegal, or puts other members or LTL at risk;
  • the law or a court requires it; or
  • your account hasn't been signed in to for 3 years or more.

We may, but don't have to, tell you why. If your account is suspended or closed, you may lose access to resources you bought (Section 5.6), so keep your own copies. If it's closed for fraud, abuse or a serious breach of these Terms, any gift card balance and credits in it may be cancelled, where the law allows.

4. Buying resources

4.1 Prices and payment

Prices are set by sellers and shown in US dollars. Sales tax, where it applies, is added at checkout (Section 4.3). You'll need an account to check out, including for free resources.

We take payment on behalf of sellers through our payment processor, currently Finix. Your card details go straight to the payment processor and never reach our servers. If you choose to save a card, we keep only the card brand, its last four digits and a reference from the processor. You can remove a saved card at any time from the Payment methods page in your account.

By placing an order, you confirm that you're allowed to use the payment method, and you authorize us to charge it for the order total. Your bank may add its own fees, such as for foreign transactions; those are yours to pay.

4.2 Your order

Your order is complete once payment goes through, and the resources appear in My purchases straight away. We may refuse, limit or cancel any order, or remove access to a resource, for any reason, including if the payment fails or is reversed, if we suspect fraud, or if a price or listing was wrong. If we cancel a paid order, we'll refund what you paid for it.

4.3 Sales tax

In places where the law requires a marketplace like ours to collect sales tax, or where we're registered to collect it, we add the tax at checkout and pay it to the government ourselves. Where we don't collect it, you may still owe tax (often called "use tax") where you live, and paying it is up to you.

4.4 Buyers outside the United States

We sell only in the countries we've opened for checkout. If you live in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Because resources are delivered digitally straight away, we ask you at checkout to agree that delivery starts immediately and that you then lose that right to cancel.

4.5 Licenses for more than one teacher

Each license is for one teacher (Section 5.2). You can buy more licenses in the cart, or later from My purchases. Sellers can offer extra licenses at a lower price; if a seller hasn't, each extra license costs the full price.

5. Your license: how you may use what you buy

5.1 Sellers own their resources

When you buy or download a resource, you don't buy the resource itself. The seller, or the people they licensed it from, keeps the copyright and every other right. What you get is a license: permission to use the resource in the ways below. Free resources come with the same license as paid ones.

5.2 What each license allows

Each license is for one teacher: the person who bought it, or the one person a school or organization buys it for. That person may use the resource for as long as they like to teach, and may:

  • use it with their own students, in person or online;
  • print and copy it for their own students, and share those copies with classroom aides, substitute teachers, and their students' parents or caregivers;
  • give it to their own students electronically, through a secure system that only those students (and their parents or caregivers) can get into, such as a password-protected learning platform;
  • show it to their school's administrators, colleagues or evaluators to review, but not for them to use; and
  • edit, adapt or rearrange it for their own students' use, if the file allows it.

Sellers may give buyers more rights than this, and if they do, the listing will say so. They can't give fewer.

5.3 What licenses don't allow

Unless the seller has given permission in writing, you may not:

  • share a resource with other teachers, or let more than one teacher use one license (buy a license for each teacher instead);
  • post a resource, or any part of it, anywhere the public or people outside your class can reach it, such as a public website, a shared drive, a blog, social media or a file-sharing site;
  • sell, resell, give away, rent or otherwise share a resource or anything made from it, or use it to make money;
  • claim a resource as your own, or remove the seller's copyright notices or credits; or
  • feed a resource into an artificial intelligence tool to train it, or use it to make a competing resource.

A license can't be passed to anyone else, and you can't sublicense it.

5.4 Google Drive resources

Some resources are delivered as a Google Drive file. You get a "Make a copy" link that puts your own copy in your Google Drive; the seller's original is never changed. Your copy is covered by the same license as any other resource. Google's own terms apply to your use of Google Drive.

5.5 Videos

Video resources can be watched online or downloaded, under the same license. Don't record, rebroadcast or publicly share them.

5.6 Keeping access to your resources

We generally keep the resources you've bought available to download in My purchases, and when a seller updates a resource, you'll usually get the new version. If a seller removes a resource or closes their store, it may remain available to you, but we don't promise that it will, or for how long. Your access may also end if a resource is removed for breaking our rules or the law, if your order is refunded, or if your account is closed. Keep your own copy of each resource you download.

6. Refunds

6.1 Digital purchases are usually final

Resources are delivered straight away and can't be returned, so sales are final, except as this section says. Nothing here takes away a right the law gives you.

6.2 When we'll consider a refund

You can ask for a refund if:

  • the file is broken or incomplete, for example it won't open or is missing pages the listing promised;
  • the resource isn't as described, for example the listing or preview says it includes something it doesn't;
  • it needs something the listing didn't mention, for example software or an account with another service;
  • you bought it twice, for example a resource and then a bundle that includes it; or
  • you haven't downloaded or opened it.

Ask from Orders in your account within 30 days of buying, choose the reason and tell us what went wrong. We decide each request in our sole discretion, and may ask the seller for help. We may refund in other cases too, may refuse refunds to accounts that ask for them unusually often, and may change these refund rules at any time.

6.3 What a refund does

An approved refund usually covers the whole order, though we may choose to refund only some of the resources in it. The money goes back to your card, any gift card balance you used goes back to your balance, and the sales tax is refunded too. Your access to the refunded resources ends, and any review credit you earned on them is taken back.

6.4 Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; we can usually sort it out faster. If you open a chargeback, we may remove access to the resources involved and suspend or close your account. If a chargeback is decided in our favor, or you opened it without a good reason, you agree to pay the amount back along with any fees it cost us.

7. Gift cards, credits and discounts

7.1 Gift cards

Gift cards are sold in US dollars from $5 to $500 each, up to $1,000 per buyer per day. They don't expire and don't carry fees. Each code can be redeemed once, into the balance of the account that redeems it, and that balance is spent first at checkout.

  • Refunds and cash: an unredeemed gift card can be refunded to the person who bought it, at our discretion; once redeemed it can't. Gift cards and balances can't be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires.
  • Use: gift cards can only be used on LTL. They can't be resold, or used to pay for anything other than resources.
  • Lost codes: treat a code like cash. Once we've sent it, we're not responsible if it's lost, stolen or used by someone else, and we can't replace it.
  • Our rights: we may refuse or limit gift card sales, and may cancel any gift card or balance that was bought with a stolen or invalid payment method, obtained by fraud, issued by mistake, or used in breach of these Terms.
  • Sales tax isn't charged on gift cards; it's charged when the balance is spent on resources.

7.2 Review credits

When you review a resource you bought, you may earn credit toward future purchases, currently 5% of what you paid. Credit is only for your first review of each resource, and only for paid resources. It's taken back if the order is refunded or your review is removed. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred. We may change the amount, end the program, or cancel unused credit at any time.

7.3 Promo codes and sales

Sellers can offer promo codes and sales, and LTL sometimes runs sitewide sales. Each one comes with its own terms (such as dates or limits), shown where you use it. Only one discount applies to a resource, and you get the biggest one available. Promo codes have no cash value and can't be resold. We may change or end any LTL sale or code at any time, and cancel discounts used in breach of its terms or these Terms.

8. Community rules

LTL is a community of educators. When you use the Services, please be honest, respectful and helpful.

8.1 Reviews

You can review a resource you own, once. Reviews must be honest and based on actually using the resource. Don't:

  • review your own resources, or a resource from a store you work for or are connected to;
  • offer or accept anything in exchange for a review, other than our review credits;
  • post reviews that are false, misleading, abusive, or about the seller personally rather than the resource; or
  • include anyone's personal information, or anything that identifies a student.

Sellers can reply to reviews in public. We may remove reviews that break these rules, and may stop someone from posting reviews.

8.2 Questions and answers

You can ask a public question about a resource. Answered questions appear on the resource's page, so don't include personal information. Sellers can remove or report questions on their resources, and we may remove any that break our rules.

8.3 Messages

You can send private messages to stores. Use them for questions about resources and orders. No spam, advertising, harassment or attempts to move a sale off LTL. We limit how many conversations and messages you can start. Either side can report a conversation to us; we read a conversation only when it's been reported, or when the law or the safety of our members requires it.

8.4 Things you must not do

When using the Services, don't:

  • break any law, or help someone else do so;
  • upload or share anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
  • post anything hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate for educators and students;
  • impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you are or your connection to anyone;
  • collect other members' personal information, or use it for anything but the reason they gave it to you;
  • send spam, chain letters or unwanted advertising;
  • try to get around our fees, for example by arranging to buy a resource outside LTL after finding it here;
  • upload viruses or other harmful code, or try to break into, overload or interfere with the Services;
  • use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to copy, download or collect anything from the Services without our written permission (search engines indexing public pages are fine);
  • copy or reverse-engineer our software, or build a competing service from our content; or
  • abuse our reporting, refund, review or credit systems.

8.5 Reporting problems

If you see a resource or a post that breaks these rules, use Report this resource on the resource's page, or report the message or conversation. Copyright complaints follow our Copyright Policy.

9. Content you post

9.1 Your content stays yours

You keep the rights you have in the reviews, questions, answers, messages and other content you post.

9.2 Permission you give us

You give LTL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and sublicensable license to use, host, store, copy, display, perform, adapt (for example, to fit a page or screen), translate, publish and distribute the content you post, in any media, in the Services and in promoting LTL (for example, quoting a review on a resource's page, in an email or in an ad). To the extent the law allows, you waive any "moral rights" in that content against LTL. Sellers grant a separate license for their resources in the Seller Agreement.

You promise that you have the right to post your content and to give us this license, and that it doesn't break these Terms or anyone's rights.

9.3 We may remove content

We don't check content before it's posted, and we're not responsible for it. We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor activity and content on the Services, and we may review, edit, remove or refuse any content at any time, for any reason, in our sole discretion.

9.4 Suggestions

If you send us ideas or feedback, for example through the feedback tab, we can use them freely, forever and for any purpose, without paying you or giving you credit.

10. Our rights in the Services

The Services, including our software, design, text, graphics and logos, belong to LTL or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms don't give you any rights in them except to use the Services as these Terms allow. "Linked Through Learning", "LTL" and our logos are our trademarks; don't use them without our permission.

11. Other websites and services

The Services link to, or use, websites and services run by others, such as Google Drive, YouTube, Vimeo, and the websites of sellers. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

12. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep the Services running well, but we provide them "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, LTL disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

In particular, we don't promise that:

  • the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or harmful code;
  • any resource is accurate, complete, legal, safe or suitable for your students. Sellers, not LTL, are responsible for their resources. Please check that a resource suits your students before using it; or
  • what other members say or do is true or appropriate; or
  • any content or files will be kept. Keep your own copies of anything you upload or download.

You use the Services at your own risk. Some places don't allow some of these disclaimers, so they may not all apply to you.

13. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • LTL, and our owners, officers, employees, agents, affiliates and partners, won't be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, including for lost profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill or reputation, arising from or related to these Terms or the Services, even if we were told they were possible;
  • we won't be liable for the resources, content or conduct of sellers, buyers or anyone else; for anyone getting into your account or data without permission; or for the Services being interrupted, changed or stopped; and
  • our total liability for all claims together, arising from or related to these Terms or the Services, is limited to the lesser of (a) the amount you paid LTL in the 12 months before the claim arose, and (b) $100.

These limits apply to every kind of claim, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, and are an essential part of the bargain between you and LTL. They don't limit liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

13.1 Disputes with other members

Any dispute you have with a seller, buyer or other member is between you and them. You release LTL, and our owners, officers, employees and agents, from all claims arising from those disputes. If you live in California, you waive California Civil Code Section 1542, which says: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party."

13.2 Time limit for claims

You must bring any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Services within 2 years after it arises, or it's permanently barred, to the extent the law allows.

14. Your responsibility to us

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless LTL and our owners, officers, employees, agents and affiliates from all claims, losses, damages, judgments, fines, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable lawyers' fees) arising from your content, your use or misuse of the Services, your breaking these Terms, or your violating the law or someone else's rights. We may take over the defense of any claim ourselves, at your cost, and you'll help us as we ask. You may not settle a claim covered by this section without our written consent.

15. Resolving disputes

15.1 Talk to us first

Most problems can be fixed quickly. Before starting arbitration or a court case, you and LTL each agree to send the other a written notice describing the problem and what you'd like done, and to try in good faith to resolve it for 60 days. Send your notice to Linked Through Learning, LLC, 12790 FM 1560 N #1349, Helotes, TX 78023 or legal@linkedthroughlearning.com, with your name, your account email, a description of the problem and the relief you want, signed by you. We'll send ours to the email address on your account. Deadlines for bringing a claim are paused during these 60 days.

15.2 Binding individual arbitration

If we can't resolve it, any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services will be settled by binding arbitration, not in court, except as Section 15.4 says. The arbitration will be run by JAMS under its Optional Expedited Arbitration Procedures then in effect.

  • Where: by video or phone, unless the arbitrator decides an in-person hearing is needed. An in-person hearing will be in Bexar County, Texas, or, if you're an individual using the Services for non-commercial purposes and you ask, in the county where you live.
  • Fees: you and LTL each pay your own lawyers' fees and costs. Whoever starts the arbitration pays its filing, administration and arbitrator fees. LTL will pay the fees charged to you only if you state in good faith, in writing signed by you, that you can't afford them, or where JAMS's rules or the law require us to. If the arbitrator finds your claim was frivolous or brought in bad faith, you'll also pay LTL's fees and costs.
  • Who decides: the arbitrator decides every question about the dispute, including whether it must be arbitrated, except that a court decides whether Section 15.3 is valid and enforceable.

The arbitrator's decision is final and can be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

You and LTL each give up the right to a trial in court before a judge or jury.

15.3 No class actions

You and LTL may each bring claims only for yourselves, not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective or representative action. Claims of two or more people can't be joined or combined in the same arbitration. The arbitrator may award relief only to the individual who brought the claim. If this paragraph is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) goes to court instead of arbitration.

15.4 Exceptions

Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court, if it qualifies. Either of us may also ask a court to stop the infringement or misuse of intellectual property, such as copyrights or trademarks.

15.5 Many similar claims at once

If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed against LTL by or with the help of the same law firm or organization:

  • Each demand must be certified. Each one must name a real, identified person with an LTL account, and be signed by that person and by their lawyer, confirming its facts.
  • Test cases go first. Only 10 demands go forward at first, 5 chosen by each side. The rest wait, no fees are owed on them, and deadlines for bringing them are paused while they wait.
  • Then mediation. After the first 10 are decided, both sides must take part in a mediation of the rest, with LTL paying the mediator.
  • Then batches. If mediation doesn't resolve them, the rest go forward in batches of up to 100, with one arbitrator for each batch.

A court may enforce this section, including by stopping demands or fees that don't follow it.

15.6 Governing law and courts

The laws of the State of Texas, and the Federal Arbitration Act where it applies, govern these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that goes to court (because it isn't arbitrated) will be heard only in the state or federal courts in Bexar County, Texas, and you and LTL agree to their jurisdiction. You and LTL each give up the right to a jury trial in any court case. If you're a consumer in a country that gives you the right to use your local law or courts, that right isn't affected.

16. Changes

16.1 Changes to the Services

We may change, suspend or stop offering any part of the Services, or the whole Services, at any time, with or without notice. If we do, your account, and resources you've bought, may no longer be available to you, so keep your own copies.

16.2 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. If we think a change is significant, we'll try to tell you by email or a notice on the site before it takes effect, and may ask you to agree to the new Terms the next time you check out or open a store. If you keep using the Services after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you don't agree, stop using the Services and ask us to close your account. Changes don't apply to disputes that started before the change. The date at the top shows when these Terms last changed.

17. General

  • Whole agreement: these Terms, with the documents in Section 1.2, are the whole agreement between you and LTL about the Services.
  • Assignment: you can't transfer your rights or duties under these Terms without our written permission. We may transfer ours at any time, without notice, for example if LTL is sold or merged.
  • Reading these Terms: headings are only for convenience, and "including" means "including but not limited to". Plain wording doesn't limit our rights.
  • No waiver: if we don't enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Severability: if part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • Things outside our control: we're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we can't reasonably control, such as outages at our providers, natural disasters or changes in the law.
  • Notices: we may send you notices by email to your account's address or on the site. You agree that these electronic notices count as "in writing."
  • No partnership: these Terms don't make you and LTL partners, employees or agents of each other.
  • Government users: if you use the Services in an official capacity for a US federal, state or local government body, the parts of these Terms on arbitration, governing law, courts and your responsibility to us (Sections 14 and 15) apply only to the extent the law that governs that body allows.
  • What continues after your account closes: sections that by their nature should continue, such as licenses you've bought, content licenses, disclaimers, limits on liability, your responsibility to us, and dispute resolution, continue after your account closes.
