Description

Differentiate your math classroom with this set of 40 scaffolded Order of Operation Task Cards! This set uses PEMDAS and visual reminders to provide cues. Included: • 5 different sets in two formats (each set comes as a QR Code Task Card and a regular Task Card - see preview and thumbnails) • Each set has a different level of support, which provides the ability to differentiate and scaffold. Students with significant math deficits were successfully and independently practicing order of operation skills with these. ♦ Set A includes a visual with PEMDAS and math symbols as well as an example problem on each card. ♦ Set B includes the PEMDAS visual without math symbols and has an example problem on each card. ♦ Set C includes the visual with no example. ♦ Set D has only the equation (no visual or example). ♦ Set E asks students to place parenthesis so the equation equals a given number. This set uses positive integers only. Cards print well in color or black-and-white. ***Updated 11/11/15 to fix errors in the QR code answers and equations in Sets B, C, D, and E. There are 5 or 6 mistakes in the code and answer document where order of operations was not used. Is there anyway these codes can be corrected for the right answers or is there a way I can edit them?

I used these cards to differentiate with my lower and medium level learners (ie, most of my class). They kept them busy for over 2 days of math. Thank you for making them. They were just what I was looking for!
