Free
Let your students show off their new understanding of tenths vs. hundredths in this “I Have… Who Has?” decimals practice game. Students will match the verbal description of a decimal amount with its numerical representation and the corresponding shaded hundredths grid. This activity will help clear up the difference between 0.7 and 0.07 in a fun, low stress game, and give students practice with Common Core decimal standards. Begin the game with any card, and with thirty different cards there’s enough for everyone in the class to play. This resource includes the full set of 30 cards in an easy-to-separate format, getting you up and running quickly. Use the included tally sheet to keep track of students and their answers, making it easy to identify who might need reteaching or remediation.
“I Have… Who Has?” can be played anywhere, even while waiting in line in the hallway, on the bus while headed to a field trip, or in the classroom as a warm-up. Concepts covered include using visual models to reason about the sizes of quantities represented in decimal form, and matching a decimal number to its visual and verbal representation.
Visually demonstrates and gives students practice with the concepts in CCSS 4.NF.C.7, but can be used to reteach and remediate in other grades or situations, like special education classrooms. Full answer key and handy tally sheet included. Error-free money-back guarantee!
