Description

Let your students show off their new understanding of telling time to the quarter hour in this “I Have… Who Has?” practice game. Students will match a time shown on a digital clock with its representation on an analog clock face. This activity will help clear up the difference between “quarter past” and “quarter to” in a fun, low stress game, and build towards grade-level Common Core measurement and data standards. Begin the game with any card, and with twenty-four different cards there’s enough for everyone in the class to play. This resource includes the full set of 24 cards in an easy-to-separate format, getting you up and running quickly.

“I Have… Who Has?” can be played anywhere, while waiting in line in the hallway, on the bus while headed to a field trip, or in the classroom as a warm-up. Concepts covered include recognizing time displayed on both analog and digital clocks to the quarter hour. Plus there’s a BONUS poster for keeping the concepts front of mind in the classroom!

This activity is an essential bridge between CCSS 1.MD.B.3 (telling time to the hour and half-hour) and CCSS 2.MD.C.7 (telling time in five-minute increments), but can be used to reteach and remediate in other grades or situations, like special education classrooms. Full instructions and answer key included. Error-free money-back guarantee!

Meet the Seller

High-engagement resources your students will love!

I designed my store to save time for other educators, especially special education teachers working with students in small groups or one-on-one. I love engaging students with games and hands-on activities, and I have a special passion for math, coding and robotics. Unless otherwise noted, I create all my own clip art, layouts, copy and other content. If a font I use isn't credited, it's either a Google font, freeware, or a typeface I picked up from a professional foundry. Thanks for giving my products a try.
