Are you already familiar with phoneme grapheme mapping & looking to integrate your high frequency words with phonics? This scope & sequence is for you!

I've taken 220+ words and sorted them by phonics skill. There are 179 regular high frequency words and 57 heart words.

With this purchase you get the rationale of how I sorted the words and the full scope and sequence. If you are looking for assessments, please check out this version of the scope and sequence that includes assessments for all 236 words.

This is a scope & sequence only, meant to save you time sorting the words yourself. While it is only 2 pages, this took me a long time and I would gladly pay this price to never have to do this again. A list is not worth the price this product was. I understand it took you time to arrange the words into an order. I, personally, regret paying for this.

I bought Unit 1 hoping to have a scope and sequence included with the purchase. I noticed that I had to pay a separate $8 for the scope and sequence. I was hoping that there would be more "meat" to this scope and sequence. $8 is a little high to pay for a 2 page document, which should have been included in the purchase of Unit 1. I knew this had to take a lot of time to organize and plan. There is also not a lot of explanation of how to teach the skills. I also would like to know if the skills are recommended to teach per week?

There is a scope and sequence included with Unit 1. If you have Unit 1, there is an explanation on how to use it and the slides show you exactly how to teach each word. The skills you teach each week depend on the grade you teach and the ability level of your kids so I cannot say when each skills should be introduced. This resource is meant to help you incorporate high frequency words into a phonics scope and sequence but how slow or fast you move through the scope & sequence will vary.
