This French Halloween reading comprehension activity will allow you to read a short story, entirely in French. It tells the story of a vampire who just can’t figure out how to eat dinner
Frankie is a vampire, but he isn't a very competent vampire. He is afraid of the dark! This makes it very difficult for him to do the most basic vampire things, especially finding dinner. He needs help, and he finds it from a local psychic.
This activity packet includes a 2-page story with two different versions so you can use it with different levels of French classes. One is in the present tense, the other in the past tense using the passé composé and imparfait. Also includes an authentic materials activity and an infographic so you can do some non-fiction reading about the topic.

This was a good resource to use for a sub. It was easy enough that students could work independently.

This was a helpful activity to leave with a sub. I liked the last infographic and wish it had come with some questions about that so the students had a reason to use. Really great overall!

Merci beaucoup!

This activity is great for subs. They can have students read alone, in pairs, or aloud as a class. Since the comprehension questions are in English, the substitute can easily review them with the class. By the way- did you write the story yourself? I was wondering where you came up with the inspiration for it!

Merci beaucoup! Yes, I do write them myself. It can be hard to find inspiration, but once I get the skeleton of the story it comes together pretty quickly.
