Description

Use the animated short Hey Deer for a French movie talk and comprehensible input lesson. This level 2 resource retells the confused deer’s story with passé composé and imparfait, then guides students through pre-viewing and post-viewing activities.

The deer shovels snow every morning and goes to bed exhausted, only to find his world disrupted again the next day. The familiar, visual story supports repeated past-tense input and discussion.

Included:
- Teacher instruction page
- French movie talk script
- Pre-viewing activity
- Post-viewing activity
- Link to the animated short
- Answer key

Target vocabulary includes un cerf, une pelle, pelleter, s’est réveillé, and bouger.

The lesson is designed for French 2 and can be simplified or extended for other levels. Includes nine PDF pages and approximately 50 minutes of instruction.
