Make French soccer the focus of a digital escape room with Mbappé Is Missing! In this French digital escape room, students read French texts, watch French video, and follow online clues to unlock the challenge. Play individually or in teams, with a teacher guide and answer key available to help you support students.
THE CHALLENGE
With only hours before the big game, Mbappé has gone missing. Students must solve the puzzles and crack the codes to help get him back in time.
This soccer escape room combines careful reading with online investigation. Topics include French soccer vocabulary, Mbappé’s career, the French national team, PSG and les Bleus, and an Antoine Griezmann video.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
- Access to the game website
- A complete teacher guide
- An answer key for supporting students when they get stuck
HOW TO USE IT
Share the website address and have students work independently or in teams. Use the challenge to introduce a soccer unit, revisit the topic, or add a cultural activity to your French lessons.
The readings and video are in French. Review the clues first to decide how much support your class will need. You can give hints or provide selected answers to reduce the number of locks students must solve when time is limited.
TECHNOLOGY AND PREPARATION
Students need access to the game website and its linked websites and videos. Test access on your school network before class. Setup is no-prep, but checking access and reviewing the teacher guide will help you plan support.

Students love these! I do have to walk them through the format the first time they play one of these but then they get the hang of it and are engaged the whole hour!
