Description
This French winter sports vocabulary digital activity will teach your students about winter sports and have them practice vocabulary, verb conjugation, reading and listening skills.
Students will complete 7 different tasks related to winter sporting events.
The tasks include:
- Vocabulary - find the French word in the word search
- Vocabulary - sort the sports by whether they are done on ice or on snow
- Reading - read the short passage about a sport and answer the question
- Listening - listen to the person describing their sport and match it to the image
- Vocabulary - can you identify the sport based on a pixelated image? Click and the image becomes clearer
- Grammar - put the correct form of the verb to complete the sentence
- Reading - final round - answer as many questions about the different sports as you can to win the medal in the final round.
At the end of the game, once they have completed the tasks, they will see a congratulations screen with a message about what medal they have won. You will want them to take a screenshot to share with you as proof that they have completed the game.
The game is hosted in genial.ly - so no Google forms, and students don't need to log in (other than typing their name at the beginning of the game). It is self-grading and students can't move on to the next task until they've successfully completed the first one. No prep - just share the link with your students and they can start the game.
