(18 ratings)$4.25
Add to cartTake students on a Spanish culture escape room through the Spanish-speaking world. In this low-prep digital game for high school Spanish, students explore Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Chile by reading clues, watching videos, and finding codes to unlock each challenge.
Use this Spanish escape room to introduce a culture unit, review Spanish-speaking countries, enrich a geography lesson, or fill a planned or unexpected sub day. Students can play independently, with partners, or in teams.
INCLUDED
- Access to the digital escape-room website
- Teacher guide and complete answer key
- Cultural clues, readings, videos, and web activities
- Multiple locks covering five Spanish-speaking countries
Students practice close reading, observation, problem-solving, and collaboration while learning cultural information. You can shorten the game by reducing the required locks or use the answer key to provide targeted hints.
Technology note: Test all links on your school network before assigning the activity. The game uses external online texts, videos, and websites.
COUNTRIES INCLUDED
• Peru
• Mexico
• Costa Rica
• Argentina
• Chile
HOW IT WORKS
Students visit the game website and carefully examine the provided clues. They read texts, watch videos and visit websites to find the information required to solve each puzzle and unlock the locks.
The challenges encourage close reading, careful observation, problem-solving and collaboration while students learn about the Spanish-speaking world.
PERFECT FOR
• High school Spanish classes
• Spanish culture lessons
• Spanish-speaking countries or geography units
• Individual, partner or team activities
• A unit introduction or final review
• Enrichment and early-finishers
• Planned or unexpected sub days
• In-person or online learning
FLEXIBLE FOR YOUR CLASSROOM
Students may play individually or work together in teams. If a clue is particularly challenging, the included answer key allows you to provide targeted hints without revealing the entire solution.
Short on time? Reduce the number of locks students must solve or provide selected answers so the activity fits your class period.

For Claude Monet French Reading Comprehension Activities Impressionism
My students were familiar with Claude Monet's work but didn't know much about his life, so this was useful info not in our textbook. I appreciated having the differentiated versions.

Great way to use history to review reflexive verbs while not just focusing on daily routine - which let's be honest, is boring. Who talks about their daily routine on a regular basis? No one.

For Les Animaux Reading Comprehension: 10 A2 French Animal Passages
I left this as a packet for level 2 students in addition to other work when I was out for a few days due to surgery. I offered a few bonus points if they selected 2-3 readings to keep them busy when everything else was turned in. They loved learning about animals and many students who didn't have time while I was out chose to complete the entire packet on their own time for fun once I was back.

Thank you for letting me know about the missing link - I've updated the image and it should be working now. You may have to F5/refresh to get the link to show properly (it covers the body of the statue).
