Description

This French Boom cards reading comprehension activity is about the Coronavirus, how it was discovered, and what we know about it.

The news is full of stories about the spread of COVID-19, the newest strain of coronavirus. But what is a coronavirus, and how dangerous is it? What can we do to protect ourselves from it?

This reading for intermediate and advanced French learners (year 2 and above) will explain where the virus came from, how it became a pandemic, and what the symptoms are. Learn about the heroic doctor in China who revealed that this new disease was rampant, despite threats from the Chinese government. Includes two versions - one with questions in English, one with questions in French.
