Description
This set of 20 task cards give students Fun Practice adding and subtracting fractions with Common Denominators while using a variety of Pictorial Models and Number Lines. It makes a perfect guided math station. An easy-to-use color coded data tracking system will help you identify specific student needs for targeted small group intervention.
Both Color and Blackline versions of the task cards are included!
The problems include regrouping to make Mixed Numbers from Improper Fractions.
You can Use these Task Cards as a Game with the included rules and game board!
A student Recording Sheet is also included.

I teach third grade, so I used the cards that worked for my students to help me teach adding and subtracting fractions, and to demonstrate problems that would result in a mixed number/improper fraction. The cards were visually appealing and the students enjoyed them!

In addition to my work in education, I also run a STEM-based Christmas Light Show business. When I'm not creating new math resources or working with teachers, I'm designing and fabricating light shows sequenced to music with my husband and our team. That business came about after our family was featured on ABC's The Great Christmas Light Fight. My son attends the University of Texas, Austin and I'm currently soaking up every last minute with my daughter, a high school senior.
