TEKS 3.3A Represent fractions greater than zero and less than or equal to one with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 using concrete objects and pictorial models, including strip diagrams and number lines.
TEKS 3.3B Determine the corresponding fraction greater than zero and less than or equal to one with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 given a specified point on a number line.
TEKS 3.3D Compose and decompose a fraction a/b with a numerator greater than zero and less than or equal to b as a sum of parts 1/b.
TEKS 3.3E Solve problems involving partitioning an object or a set of objects among two or more recipients using pictorial representations of fractions with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8.
TEKS 3.3F Represent equivalent fractions with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 using a variety of objects and pictorial models, including number lines.
TEKS 3.3G Explain that two fractions are equivalent if and only if they are both represented by the same point on the number line or represent the same portion of a same size whole for an area model.
TEKS 3.3H Compare two fractions having the same numerator or denominator in problems by reasoning about their sizes and justifying the conclusion using symbols, words, objects, and pictorial models.
Common Core
3.NF.A.1 Understand a fraction 1/ as the quantity formed by 1 part when a whole is partitioned into equal parts; understand a fraction / as the quantity formed by parts of size 1/.
3.NF.A.2a Represent a fraction 1/ on a number line diagram by defining the interval from 0 to 1 as the whole and partitioning it into equal parts. Recognize that each part has size 1/ and that the endpoint of the part based at 0 locates the number 1/ on the number line.
3.NF.A.2b Represent a fraction / on a number line diagram by marking off lengths 1/ from 0. Recognize that the resulting interval has size / and that its endpoint locates the number / on the number line.
3.NF.A.3a Understand two fractions as equivalent (equal) if they are the same size, or the same point on a number line.
3.NF.A.3b Recognize and generate simple equivalent fractions, e.g., 1/2 = 2/4, 4/6 = 2/3). Explain why the fractions are equivalent, e.g., by using a visual fraction model.
3.NF.A.3d Compare two fractions with the same numerator or the same denominator by reasoning about their size. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two fractions refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, or <, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual fraction model.

“My students were able to review fractions independently, and then as I noticed many were struggling, I could review. This was a great activity for students to practice indpendently, use each other as resources, and have great visuals to solidify knowledge.”
“I LOVE everything Marvel Math puts out!! My kids are always engaged and I know they're working on Texas standards they need!”

For 4th Grade Math STAAR Review - Math Test Prep Games
"This resource is an absolute game-changer for teaching Unit 3 in 4th grade! If you are feeling overwhelmed by the dense teacher manuals or spending hours trying to format your own presentations, do yourself a favor and buy this right now. The slides are completely no-prep, beautifully designed, and student-friendly. Every single lesson includes clearly stated learning targets right at the beginning, which keeps my students focused and aligns perfectly with our instructional goals. I especially love the embedded anchor charts and direct hyperlinks—they save me so much transition time during lessons because I don’t have to hunt for materials across different tabs or manuals. The included student worksheets and guided practice prompts provide wonderful scaffolding that keeps student engagement high and supports all learners, including my emerging bilinguals and students who need extra support. It breaks down complex concepts into bite-sized, manageable pieces without watering down the curriculum. Thank you for creating such a polished, time-saving, and effective teaching tool! It has easily cut my planning time in half and made our daily lessons run seamlessly."
