Description
This No Prep Input-Output Table Notebook thoroughly covers the 4th grade TEKS 4.5B. This notebook features pages on input-output tables, numerical expressions and relationships between the values of numbers and their position in a sequence. This notebook is perfect to use for small group guided math lessons, whole class teaching, or station work!
This notebook helps you make the most of your class time and is designed to be used with no cutting or gluing. Simply print and hole punch and this notebook is ready for your students to use.
This is a TEKS centered resource. While others may be “TEKS-aligned,” they often cover Common Core standards as well. My Texas specific resources cover the TEKS and nothing but the TEKS, so that teachers don’t have to spend additional time sorting through what to use and what not to use. I know how precious each and every school day is; there is no time to waste. As with all of my resources, it is also designed with STAAR in mind.
This notebook has 3 student pages plus a detailed key that cover the following topics:
- Input-Output tables with one step rules
- Numerical Expressions
- Relationship between the value of a number in a sequence and its position in the sequence

This was an excellent resource for teaching input-output tables and numerical patterns! The interactive notebook format helped students organize their thinking while developing a deeper understanding of how patterns work. Rather than simply identifying answers, students were able to explore relationships between numbers and explain the rules that generated each pattern.
