Hello! I'm the creator of True Grit Life Skills and owner of True Grit Tutoring.
My educational experience includes teaching 4th grade for six years and 6th grade English Language Arts for three years. I also worked as a Title I teacher providing reading and math support to students with diverse learning needs. I hold a Master of Education degree in Educational Technology.
In addition to my classroom experience, I homeschooled my daughter with autism throughout her middle school and high school years. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for creating practical, engaging, and individualized learning materials that help students build confidence and independence.
Today, I work as a tutor, and many of the resources in this store have been developed, tested, and refined during real tutoring sessions with teens and young adults. My passion is helping students build confidence, independence, problem-solving skills, and the grit needed to succeed in everyday life.
