Photosynthesis - Senior Biology. This two or three-day, comprehensive senior biology lesson starts by reviewing what photosynthesis is and the photosynthesis equation. It then looks at chloroplasts and pigments, specifically, chlorophyll a and b as well as Carotenoids and Xanthophylls. The presentation then goes into detail regarding the light and light-independent (Calvin Cycle) reaction and concludes by taking a look at the enzyme RuBisCO and the role it plays. The lesson includes many pictures and diagrams so that your students will gain a better understanding of the concepts.
