These Solve & Draw Task Cards are an easy way to give your students engaging practice with area and perimeter of squares, rectangles, and composite shapes. This set of 40 differentiated Task Cards includes five sets of 12 task cards, a drawing page (also included in color for projecting on screen and drawing on an interactive whiteboard, if desired), a student response sheet, and answer keys. Perfect for an authentic, flexible back-to-school review activity.

How Solve & Draw Task Cards Work:

Students solve the area and/or perimeter problems and add to the drawing based on their answer. Each set includes a drawing page and 12 task cards. You also receive a full color version of the drawing page – perfect for projecting onto an interactive whiteboard and having students take turns drawing on as you correct the work! Task cards are included in both color and black-and-white (ink-saver). An answer sheet with workspace is provided and may be copied on to the back of the drawing or printed separately. Two versions of answer keys are included. A one page at-a-glance option as well as the answers marked directly on the task cards.

To Prep:

Print 1 copy of the task cards (in your choice of color or black-and-white) on cardstock and/or laminate for longer use. Print a student answer sheet for each student and the answer keys, if desired. You may have students work through the cards a set at a time, assign different sets to different students or groups depending on skill level, or use altogether as a comprehensive review.
