Description

Make decimal review and practice more engaging with Solve & Draw Task Cards! Perfect for an authentic, flexible back-to-school review activity. Students will problem solve and apply all decimal operations with these word problems. Solve & Draw activities put a new spin on color-by-number or mystery drawings and channel your students' love for doodling and drawing. These decimal word problem task cards are designed to provide practice of reading math directions and breaking down multi-step word problems. These are intended to be a challenge or review activity.

How Solve & Draw Task Cards Work:

Students read the word problem, determine the steps they need to take, and solve the decimal calculations. Then, there are two related math problems, often requiring critical thinking and making connections, that will prompt them to add specific objects to the drawing.

Three drawings are included, each with 8 associated task cards (character from the correct drawing is on each numbered task card), student response sheet, and answer keys. Task cards are included in both color and black-and-white.

Drawing prompts require a student to use multiple skills:

• Decimal calculations (all operations)

• Reading word problems carefully and determining the steps and calculations needed to solve

• Making math connections

• Independently using math vocabulary

• Reading directions accurately

******PLEASE NOTE********

This is a new theme of my existing Decimal Word Problem Task Cards (Ninja Theme) due to customer request for a theme that doesn't include ninjas/fighting. The word problems are the same in both resources.
