➗ GCF & LCM Solve & Draw | Creative Math Practice for Greatest Common Factor & Least Common Multiple
Make Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and Least Common Multiple (LCM) practice more engaging with this Solve & Draw math activity! This resource goes beyond a traditional color‑by‑number worksheet by having students add details to a drawing based on math prompts, allowing for creativity while still reinforcing essential number theory skills.
This no‑prep, print‑and‑go activity helps students practice GCF and LCM in a low‑stress, highly engaging format that keeps them focused and motivated.
Perfect for math centers, review, early finishers, sub plans, homework, or formative assessment.
✏️ How the Solve & Draw Activity Works
Students solve GCF and LCM problems, then follow specific drawing prompts tied to their answers. Instead of coloring preset sections, students:
- Add objects and details to a picture
- Decide how each prompt is represented
- Create a unique final drawing that shows understanding
Because students are told what to draw—but not how to draw it—this activity: ✔️ Encourages creativity and student choice
✔️ Works for all drawing skill levels
✔️ Is more open‑ended and engaging than traditional color‑by‑number
Students can complete the drawing using just a pencil or pen, making it accessible and low‑supply. Optional coloring supplies may be used but are not required.

My students enjoyed this activity! We are on a hybrid schedule so I did it in person and distance and received positive feedback from both. There is one error however. There is an LCM answer key for a page that is not there. I would love that page. It’s the 2nd LCM page.
