WAYS TO USE THIS FRENCH LESSON
Use the text-supported video for scaffolded reading and comprehension. Pause the video to discuss the story, ask personalized questions, or storyask with your class.
Use the illustration-only version for listening practice, sequencing, teacher-led narration, or student retells.
Novice-low and novice-mid students can work with the story as written. Novice-high learners can add details, write a parallel story, or retell the events using past-tense narration.
If you are searching for French comprehensible input stories, this single-story lesson provides limited vocabulary, meaningful repetition, visual support, and ready-made activities in one low-prep resource. It is an engaging fit for beginning French and French 1 classes that need accessible reading practice without sacrificing an entertaining storyline.

For Les Animaux Reading Comprehension: 10 A2 French Animal Passages
I left this as a packet for level 2 students in addition to other work when I was out for a few days due to surgery. I offered a few bonus points if they selected 2-3 readings to keep them busy when everything else was turned in. They loved learning about animals and many students who didn't have time while I was out chose to complete the entire packet on their own time for fun once I was back.
