This was a fun activity for students to review, but not having accents made it a bit difficult.

My students enjoy these escape rooms. Once they figured out how they work they are happy when I pull one out for them to do. I like that they are working in groups and helping each other. Before they know it the time is over.

Cute idea but pretty clunky execution. Can't have the students complete it individually and can't give it to a substitute because it is behind a paywall. Answer guide doesn't even include all the answers, and I had to hunt down the links to each clue from the website that seems like it hasn't been updated in years/ this game was forgotten because it is very difficult to find. Overall, needs to be re-formatted and then it would be great!

I am trying to understand what you mean by the site being behind a paywall - the game is hosted on my website, there is no paywall. If your students were unable to access the site, it may have been the settings your district has rather than a paywall - districts sometimes block student access to the site as the word "games" is part of the domain name. If this is the case, I have set up private versions of the game on a Google sites option as an alternative, I would be happy to do so for you if you email me directly at heather@frenchified.com. The teacher guide does include answers to each clue page, they are on page 10 for the answers to the specific activities and 5-9 for the answers to open each of the locks.

Students had a fun time with this - I had them do it while I was out sick one day. It was good review for them. Thank you.

I can't say it enough. My students much rather reviewing verbs while playing games. Every class I've ever done escape games in, they comment that it was the most fun they've had while reviewing verbs.

This was my saving grace while teaching the passé composé and imparfait. I struggled to teach it, and this digital escape room was "actually fun," according to one of my students. This activity helped solidify their skills, and I will definitely use it again.

My students had SO much fun with this activity! They got so into it, and it really brought out their competitive side as I used it for a class-wide competition. I would definitely recommend this as excellent review.

I used this with my grade 10 Core French class by splitting them up into groups of 2-3 and giving them 45 minutes to complete it - only one group finished in that time frame! As a class, we unlocked one of the locks together because they were struggling to figure it out on their own (the lock where they had to decide whether the verb needs to be conjugated in le passé composé or l'imparfait). We also went through each activity together as a class after I gave them a period to complete it. The only reason why I rated this a 4 star is because on the day that I did this with my students, the Google Form for the lock where students had to listen to an audio and answer questions wasn't loading or working, but then it was working the next day.
