With the teacher guide, you will have the answer key - so you can help guide students towards the correct answer by giving them hints, or if you have limited time, you can adjust the game by reducing the number of locks they need to unlock - just give them the answer(s) to help the activity fit your time constraints.

“My students found this challenging but enjoyed it. Again, little prep on my end and engaged students in an interesting cultural activity.”
“This is such a wonderful activity. It promoted so much collaboration with the students and listening to them justify the answers was fantastic. It also helped them have a better understanding of the holiday. Merci mille fois.”

This has been a great activity to use with my students, but I would ask for a little more clarity with the questions/prompts -- specifically for lock #3: asking for the date of the battle is not specific enough. It should ask for the start date (which is 03/16/1863 but is not the correct answer to unlock it) or the end date (this may be the date reflected in the correct answer). Also, there is an alternate spelling for Lorencez (Laurencez) that can be confusing. So -- fun activity, but there are some opportunities with the wording to make it clearer. Thanks!
