(6 ratings)$4.00
Add to cartTeach or review Mardi Gras history and customs with a self-correcting digital game featuring 30 multiple-choice questions. Students can play independently using the PowerPoint, Google Slides, or PDF version, or you can project the game for whole-class competition.
IMPORTANT LANGUAGE NOTE
All questions are in English. This makes the Mardi Gras activity accessible to students at any French proficiency level, but it is not a French-language question set.
WHAT STUDENTS EXPLORE
The questions introduce or review Mardi Gras:
• History
• Traditions
• Customs
• Symbols
• Holiday facts
Use the game after teaching about Mardi Gras, as an introduction to the holiday, or as a Mardi Gras research activity for French class. If students have not studied the topic, they can research the answers as they move through the game.
HOW THE GAME WORKS
Students begin with a digital path divided into sections. Each section contains three multiple-choice questions.
• Answer all three correctly to earn a doubloon and continue
• Answer incorrectly and repeat that section
• Complete all 30 questions to finish the path and win
The self-correcting design gives students immediate feedback and allows them to work independently.
THREE FORMATS INCLUDED
• PowerPoint show
• Google Slides presentation

For Claude Monet French Reading Comprehension Activities Impressionism
My students were familiar with Claude Monet's work but didn't know much about his life, so this was useful info not in our textbook. I appreciated having the differentiated versions.

Great way to use history to review reflexive verbs while not just focusing on daily routine - which let's be honest, is boring. Who talks about their daily routine on a regular basis? No one.

I left this as a packet for level 2 students in addition to other work when I was out for a few days due to surgery. I offered a few bonus points if they selected 2-3 readings to keep them busy when everything else was turned in. They loved learning about animals and many students who didn't have time while I was out chose to complete the entire packet on their own time for fun once I was back.

Thank you for letting me know about the missing link - I've updated the image and it should be working now. You may have to F5/refresh to get the link to show properly (it covers the body of the statue).
