Moi, Super Héros - French Superhero Differentiated Writing & Verb Tense Unit
(4 ratings)$4.00
Add to cartMoi, Super Héros is a differentiated French superhero writing unit that gives students creative practice with the present, passé composé, imparfait, future, and conditional tenses. Students invent a superhero or supervillain, complete connected writing activities, and create a final poster that brings their character and powers to life.
Use the complete unit as an engaging end-of-year verb-tense review, or assign individual activities throughout the year as students learn each tense.
FIVE VERB TENSES
The writing activities provide practice with:
• Present tense
• Passé composé
• Imparfait
• Future tense
• Conditional tense
Each activity includes a brief explanation of the verb tense students need to use.
DIFFERENTIATE THE PROJECT
Select the activities and verb tenses that match your students’ proficiency and the grammar they have studied. Beginning students can complete selected present-tense tasks, while more experienced learners can combine past, future, and conditional writing.
The flexible format makes the resource useful for multiple French levels, mixed-readiness classes, or a cumulative upper-level review.
CREATE A SUPERHERO OR SUPERVILLAIN
Students develop their character through a series of connected writing and poster activities. Depending on the assigned tasks, they can explain:
• Who their superhero or supervillain is
• What powers they possess
• What their costume looks like
• What they will and will not do with their powers
• How they acquired their powers
• What they would do in different situations
For the final challenge, students imagine a superhero-versus-supervillain matchup and explain who would win.
USE THIS RESOURCE FOR
• Differentiated French writing practice
• Present-tense writing
• Passé composé and imparfait review
• Future and conditional practice
• Creative poster projects
• French 2, French 3, or upper-level review
• End-of-year activities
• Cumulative verb-tense review
• Independent or partner projects
Students create posters for present, passé composé, imparfait, future, and conditional tense practice while developing one imaginative character across the unit.
This French superhero project turns grammar review into a creative writing experience that encourages students to take risks, expand their ideas, and use multiple verb tenses with a meaningful purpose.

“So much fun! The students really enjoyed working with these materials. Being creative with the language is always met with more enthusiasm.”
“I used this last year with my level 3 students. They were so engaged with this! They were so into the activities that they actually decided to make their own "movie" script of villains vs. super heros. It was fun to watch them dive into the language and have fun.”

For Claude Monet French Reading Comprehension Activities Impressionism
My students were familiar with Claude Monet's work but didn't know much about his life, so this was useful info not in our textbook. I appreciated having the differentiated versions.

Great way to use history to review reflexive verbs while not just focusing on daily routine - which let's be honest, is boring. Who talks about their daily routine on a regular basis? No one.

For Les Animaux Reading Comprehension: 10 A2 French Animal Passages
I left this as a packet for level 2 students in addition to other work when I was out for a few days due to surgery. I offered a few bonus points if they selected 2-3 readings to keep them busy when everything else was turned in. They loved learning about animals and many students who didn't have time while I was out chose to complete the entire packet on their own time for fun once I was back.

Thank you for letting me know about the missing link - I've updated the image and it should be working now. You may have to F5/refresh to get the link to show properly (it covers the body of the statue).
