Add to cartThis printable and fun grammar card game is a surefire way to get your students excited about identifying and fixing sentence fragments. Use the cards to identify if a sentence is a complete sentence or a fragment. In My Own Classroom:
We played this game in teams of 4s yesterday during my ELA & Writing intervention block. The kids were really excited to play and had a few interesting ways to match up the sentence fragments. They especially loved the rock, paper, scissor challenge card that allows the winner to steal the other players cards. Not once during the entire hour long block did I have any behavior issues to deal with. Though I did have to periodically answer team debates about whether or not a statement was a complete sentence or a fragment, which gave me better insight into where the kids were struggling with the concept.
