Description

Need a high quality, No Prep Activity? You will love this set of Journal Prompts that encourage deep thinking and help you collect data on student learning. Students will enjoy drawing and writing about addition and subtraction with regrouping, word problems, strip diagrams, estimation, and using number lines to represent word problems.

These journal prompts give students an opportunity to think deeply about concepts covered in the TEKS and to see patterns.

I absolutely love using math journals in the classroom! They are the perfect way to engage students in deep thinking and assess their understanding. Math journal prompts are naturally differentiated, as students are able to dive as deep into content as they are able to.

Meet the Seller

In addition to my work in education, I also run a STEM-based Christmas Light Show business. When I'm not creating new math resources or working with teachers, I'm designing and fabricating light shows sequenced to music with my husband and our team. That business came about after our family was featured on ABC's The Great Christmas Light Fight. My son attends the University of Texas, Austin and I'm currently soaking up every last minute with my daughter, a high school senior.
