This is a TEKS centered resource. While others may be “TEKS-aligned,” they often cover Common Core standards as well. My Texas specific resources cover the TEKS and nothing but the TEKS, so that teachers don’t have to spend additional time sorting through what to use and what not to use. I know how precious each and every school day is; there is no time to waste. As with all of my resources, it is designed with STAAR in mind. I spend more pages on Readiness TEKS, since students are expected to have a deeper understanding of these standards and they make up close to 2/3 of the STAAR test.
Standards Covered
TEKS:
- 4.5C Use models to determine the formulas for the perimeter of a rectangle (l + w + l + w or 2l + 2w), including the special form for perimeter of a square (4s) and the area of a rectangle (l x w).
- 4.5D Solve problems related to perimeter and area of rectangles where dimensions are whole numbers.
- 4.8A Identify relative sizes of measurement units within the customary and metric systems.
- 4.8B Convert measurements within the same measurement system, customary or metric, from a smaller unit into a larger unit or a larger unit into a smaller unit when given other equivalent measures represented in a table.
- 4.8C Solve problems that deal with measurements of length, intervals of time, liquid volumes, mass, and money using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division as appropriate.

For 4th Grade Math STAAR Review - Math Test Prep Games
October 7, 2026"This resource is an absolute game-changer for teaching Unit 3 in 4th grade! If you are feeling overwhelmed by the dense teacher manuals or spending hours trying to format your own presentations, do yourself a favor and buy this right now. The slides are completely no-prep, beautifully designed, and student-friendly. Every single lesson includes clearly stated learning targets right at the beginning, which keeps my students focused and aligns perfectly with our instructional goals. I especially love the embedded anchor charts and direct hyperlinks—they save me so much transition time during lessons because I don’t have to hunt for materials across different tabs or manuals. The included student worksheets and guided practice prompts provide wonderful scaffolding that keeps student engagement high and supports all learners, including my emerging bilinguals and students who need extra support. It breaks down complex concepts into bite-sized, manageable pieces without watering down the curriculum. Thank you for creating such a polished, time-saving, and effective teaching tool! It has easily cut my planning time in half and made our daily lessons run seamlessly."
