Description

These bright and fun task cards will help students find unknown angles when given two non-overlapping angles that create a larger angle. Students will get much needed practice finding missing angles. These task cards are aligned to the TEKS: 4.7E, and CCSS: 4.MD.C.7.

I have also included a card explaining how to use this set of task cards to play a simple no-prep game called "Capture the Triangles" that adds a fun layer of competition!!!

What's Included?

  • 24 Task Cards
  • Both Color and Black & White versions are included!
  • Student Recording Sheet
  • Mini-Cover and a Mini-Key that are both task card sized to help with organization

Standards Alignment:

TEKS: 4.7E - determine the measure of an unknown angle formed by two non‐overlapping adjacent angles given one or both angle measures

CCSS: 4.MD.C.7 - Recognize angle measure as additive. When an angle is decomposed into non-overlapping parts, the angle measure of the whole is the sum of the angle measures of the parts. Solve addition and subtraction problems to find unknown angles on a diagram in real world and mathematical problems, e.g., by using an equation with a symbol for the unknown angle measure.

Meet the Seller

In addition to my work in education, I also run a STEM-based Christmas Light Show business. When I'm not creating new math resources or working with teachers, I'm designing and fabricating light shows sequenced to music with my husband and our team. That business came about after our family was featured on ABC's The Great Christmas Light Fight. My son attends the University of Texas, Austin and I'm currently soaking up every last minute with my daughter, a high school senior.
