TEACHERS LIKE YOU SAID…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chanele D. said, “Stem and leaf plots are generally a really hard thing for the kids to understand, but this really helped! The physical act of cutting the numbers and putting them on either side and then picking them back up to rebuild the number REALLY REALLY helped! I have a class of mostly sped students and they all were able to understand the concept.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Courtney D. said, “My students enjoyed using this resource! It helped to break down what is a stem and leaf plot and allowed students to be able to visually and physically see how to make them.!”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kayleigh W. said, “This helped my students get hands on with stem and leaf plots. They loved getting to create their own Stem and Leaf plot”

“This is a great resource to help review stem and leaf plot.”
“This hands on, low prep, resource was perfect partner practice for stem and leaf plots. This is always a hard standard for my students to master. Being able to manipulate the numbers and move the pieces around was a great way for them to practice without a worksheet.”

The examples used are good choices for students to understand and: the kinesthetic aspect of this lesson is soooo helpful. At the end of the four stem and leaf plots, one student said,"This is getting too easy!" I wish I heard this more often from my students.

A great hands-on way of teaching stem and leaf. It is hard to find a good resource & this was amazing!

Grades taught: 6th, 5th
My students realized what the stems were for when they had to glue the numbers in the tens place on top of each other. It also made it more relevant when they were trying to figure out what numbers were in the data set. They couldn't believe how confused they were when they first looked at stem and leaf when they realized how simple the system was.
