Math Games for 2nd & 3rd Grade | Addition Subtraction Multiplication Practice

My students are loving Subtracting Across Zeros practice with these fun printables. Students solve a subtraction with regrouping problem, Check Using Addition and then use a maze to travel to the next problem. My intervention students have been asking to do more of these to practice subtracting across zeros! When students who struggle in math ask for more math it makes my heart smile. :)
These are perfect for you if you need an enticing way to get students motivated to work on skills they struggle with. Pair them with base-10 blocks for a great hands on activity!
After I presented students with the first one, they were hooked! They were excited to complete one problem and then work through a maze. Finally, a practice page that isn’t just problem after problem! The brain break they get with each maze is just what students need before starting in on a new problem.
What's included?
How Can I use these?

I needed something last minute and this was great! Most of my students didn't bother to do the maze but seeing it there still made it look more fun. The only thing I would change is to add in a few numbers in between with only one zero. My students quickly saw a pattern when regrouping so I changed two problems on each side to have only 1 zero and that caught them up a bit and made them stop and think. Overall, great resource!
