Unit Overview

This unit allows students to explore the world of animals through the lens of context, perspective, and representation.

Using Eric Carle’s colourful and imaginative texts, students are guided to identify how elements of their own world are represented in texts. They will analyse and respond to both real and imagined worlds, drawing on their background knowledge, vocabulary, and understanding of descriptive language.
