Ancient Mesopotamia Reading Passage and Comprehension Questions Pixel Art
Searching for a low prep activity that provides a fun and engaging way to learn about Ancient Mesopotamia and the rise of civilization? This self-checking pixel art digital activity is the answer! Mix fun and challenge as you engage your social studies students into comprehension questions and terminology understanding. Use your textbook passage or the reading passage provided. After reading, students simply read the comprehension questions and put their answer in the answer column, if correct, students earn a star and movement in the pixel field. If incorrect, no star appears and students have to go back and try again. Once all answers are input correctly, the pixel art picture reveals itself. Grab this easy grader and incorporate it into your lesson after reading, as a test prep review, sub plan, homework or partner exercise!

For Calculating Hourly Wages and Overtime Pay Pixel Art
October 15, 2026While I absolutely enjoy this resource, I had some initial difficulty getting my students to actually be able to work on it individually. First, it is online only through google slides; so, I made a copy as instructed. However, the mistake I made was sharing that copy with all of my students. When they accessed it, they were all editing the same copy. I had to make a copy for each of my students and share it with them individually. Second, I had to give each student editor permission (I only missed this step twice). That being said I do love the resource as it self-checks, enabling students to get a 100% and complete the picture. I plan to us it again.

Typically, once you create your own copy, we recommend sharing that through your schools Learning Management system and then there is typically a spot to click that creates individual copies for students. Hopefully that can streamline that process for you for future use!
