Constitutional Amendments Imagine That!
Seeking an activity for your history or social studies students to engage them in thinking critically about the world today and the impact of the Amendments on everyday life.
Imagine that the founding fathers wrote a section in the constitution that stated that it can not be changed or amended in anyway. How would the country look if the following amendments were not included into our constitution? This activity gets secondary students thinking just that! Students need to imagine a country without the amendment and identify specific example that shows their understanding of the amendments and the impact they have on everyday society.
This is a perfect addition to any government, criminal justice/police science and civics course. Use as a sub plan, homework, centers/stations activity or partner assignment.

For Calculating Hourly Wages and Overtime Pay Pixel Art
October 15, 2026While I absolutely enjoy this resource, I had some initial difficulty getting my students to actually be able to work on it individually. First, it is online only through google slides; so, I made a copy as instructed. However, the mistake I made was sharing that copy with all of my students. When they accessed it, they were all editing the same copy. I had to make a copy for each of my students and share it with them individually. Second, I had to give each student editor permission (I only missed this step twice). That being said I do love the resource as it self-checks, enabling students to get a 100% and complete the picture. I plan to us it again.

Typically, once you create your own copy, we recommend sharing that through your schools Learning Management system and then there is typically a spot to click that creates individual copies for students.
