Description
Cosmetology Historical Beauty Poster Project and Gallery Walk
Looking for a project to support your unit on the history of cosmetology? Seeking a way to incorporate independent research and student discovery? Ready to engage your students in becoming cosmetology history experts? Searching for a project that already has a chunked schedule built in to support students? Diversifying your assessments? In this project, your cosmetology students will become the experts in hairstyles, beauty trends and inventions throughout the ages. After researching and completing a historical beauty brag sheet, students will then transfer their work onto a colorful and creative poster to display to the class. Lastly, students engage in a gallery walk to explore the various time periods and trends, learning from their peers as they pull out information from each poster. This project is a great way to engage your students, allowing for creativity and promoting classroom community in a structured and positive way! This resource is ready to go with all the essentials ready to print for internet research-just add the poster board!

For Calculating Hourly Wages and Overtime Pay Pixel Art
October 15, 2026While I absolutely enjoy this resource, I had some initial difficulty getting my students to actually be able to work on it individually. First, it is online only through google slides; so, I made a copy as instructed. However, the mistake I made was sharing that copy with all of my students. When they accessed it, they were all editing the same copy. I had to make a copy for each of my students and share it with them individually. Second, I had to give each student editor permission (I only missed this step twice). That being said I do love the resource as it self-checks, enabling students to get a 100% and complete the picture. I plan to us it again.

Hi Velma, thank you for letting us know you liked this resource. Typically, once you create your own copy, we recommend sharing that through your schools Learning Management system and then there is typically a spot to click that creates individual copies for students. Hopefully that can streamline that process for you for future use!

For Daily Career-Based Math Bell Ringers: Engaging 9-12th Grade Warm-Ups
September 15, 2026I absolutely love this resource! I use it daily as bellwork for my high school Algebra and Financial Algebra Special Education classes. It answers the age old question- "When will we ever use math in real life?" I've been teaching for 15 years and this may be one of my favorite finds ever!
