After watching a video to gain background knowledge, completing the "Identifying Authorship" task, and discovering the "secret" about the essays, students will engage in a lively class discussion and complete a reflective exit ticket. I recommend this resource aligned with Common Core Standards. This resource offered diverse look at ChatGPT with text excerpts helping students cite evidence effectively (RI.1). Additionally, it fostered engaging and respectful discussions - almost turned into a debate (SL.1) and through the exit ticket and discussion prompts the group activities promoted students' ability to respond to and build off of others' ideas with respect (SL.1d). It's user-friendly, editable, complete, and easy-to-understand instructions for various grades. It's an invaluable aid for experienced and novice teachers alike and even Subs! This I-Spay resource enhanced academic skills, but also cultivated an inclusive classroom environment. Don't miss out on this exceptional piece; it's a game-changer for sure and was super fun to watch the students have a productive struggle thinking through their options! :-)
