Description
Print-and-go SEL resource for secondary students!
This activity allows students (and adults!) to create a personalized self-care plan by recognizing different levels of mental distress and identifying appropriate coping skills. By completing the handout, guided by the extended metaphor of car maintenance, students will practice self-awareness, self-regulation, and self-management.
This tool is great for social-emotional learning at the secondary level! Use it as an engaging, practical resource in...
- Intervention classes
- Advisory periods
- Counseling groups
- Individual support
- ...and more!

For Calculating Hourly Wages and Overtime Pay Pixel Art
October 15, 2026While I absolutely enjoy this resource, I had some initial difficulty getting my students to actually be able to work on it individually. First, it is online only through google slides; so, I made a copy as instructed. However, the mistake I made was sharing that copy with all of my students. When they accessed it, they were all editing the same copy. I had to make a copy for each of my students and share it with them individually. Second, I had to give each student editor permission (I only missed this step twice). That being said I do love the resource as it self-checks, enabling students to get a 100% and complete the picture. I plan to us it again.

Hi Velma, thank you for letting us know you liked this resource. Typically, once you create your own copy, we recommend sharing that through your schools Learning Management system and then there is typically a spot to click that creates individual copies for students. Hopefully that can streamline that process for you for future use!

For Daily Career-Based Math Bell Ringers: Engaging 9-12th Grade Warm-Ups
September 15, 2026I absolutely love this resource! I use it daily as bellwork for my high school Algebra and Financial Algebra Special Education classes. It answers the age old question- "When will we ever use math in real life?" I've been teaching for 15 years and this may be one of my favorite finds ever!
