Winter Holiday Four Corners
Looking for a fun social emotional learning activity to do with your class before winter break? This Christmas holiday rapport builder is a great way to engage your energetic students during classroom holiday parities, or before vacation starts. Create a fun, structured and positive social experience in your classroom with this low-prep activity. Simply print out and post the letters A-D in the four corners of your classroom. Project the questions and response options. Give students time to move to their preferred response choice. Engage in entertaining debates over the best hot cocoa add-in, favorite winter activity and even best Christmas carol in this light hearted group activity where there are no right answers! This is perfect for holiday parties, half days before break, when there’s time left after a lesson or even just to engage students when they are having trouble focusing due to the upcoming days off!

For Calculating Hourly Wages and Overtime Pay Pixel Art
While I absolutely enjoy this resource, I had some initial difficulty getting my students to actually be able to work on it individually. First, it is online only through google slides; so, I made a copy as instructed. However, the mistake I made was sharing that copy with all of my students. When they accessed it, they were all editing the same copy. I had to make a copy for each of my students and share it with them individually. Second, I had to give each student editor permission (I only missed this step twice). That being said I do love the resource as it self-checks, enabling students to get a 100% and complete the picture. I plan to us it again.

Hi Velma, thank you for letting us know you liked this resource. Typically, once you create your own copy, we recommend sharing that through your schools Learning Management system and then there is typically a spot to click that creates individual copies for students. Hopefully that can streamline that process for you for future use!
