All kids love UNO and most kids don't like nonsense words, so I have found putting them together makes it a little more tolerable for my students especially when they get to play regular UNO after (if there has been no complaining!). :)

My students love playing this game during our morning ELA rotations! I teach in a grade 1/2/3 split, so the fact that there are multiple levels is wonderful. All ages enjoy it immensely, and often it is the first game out of the tubs. I also use it during teacher time with students, often to help figure out which phonics skill to focus on next with an individual or group of students. I've also used the blank cards to create another deck of only CVC nonsense words for my emergent readers. Thanks so for a great resource!
