Description

Students will love this write the room activity. Distribute the letter/picture cards all around the room and students will find and record the letters on their recording sheet as they go! Students can also complete this activity with cards in a pile and they can record the letter as the pull cards!

Included in this resource, you will find:

  • Uppercase letter card with picture

  • Lowercase letter card with picture

  • Uppercase and lowercase letter card with picture

  • Uppercase letter card

  • Lowercase letter card

  • Uppercase and lowercase letter card

  • Picture only card

  • 8 different recording sheets (blank sheets and tracing sheets for differentiation)

There are two different versions of this activity included in this resource. There is a traditional ABC order set and a numbered set that is not in ABC order on the recording sheet. I like to use the ABC order set at the beginning of the year when my students need a little more guidance and then as they progress, move to the numbered version to give them a little more of a challenge!

There are many different cards and recording sheets to choose from, so there are many different ways to use this resource!

Some of the ways to use this resource:

  1. You could put the uppercase letter cards with (or without) pictures around the room and have students use a blank/tracing recording sheet to write/trace the letters that match the cards.

  2. You could put the lowercase letter cards with (or without) pictures around the room and have students use a blank/tracing recording sheet to write/trace the letters that match the cards.

  3. You could put uppercase letter cards around the room and have students use a blank/tracing sheet to write/trace the corresponding lowercase letters.

  4. You could put lowercase letter cards around the room and have students use a blank/tracing sheet to write/trace the corresponding uppercase letters.

  5. You could challenge students by putting picture only cards around the room and have students use a blank or tracing recording sheet to write/trace the letters that make the beginning sound of the picture.

Cards include all 26 letters of the alphabet from A-Z and are in both color and black and white.
