Do you need a fresh and fun way for your students to practice the different skills you teach throughout the year? These Sensory Bin Activities are perfect for young learners! Once these sensory bins are set up, they are little, to no, work for you. Just print the recording sheets, and let your Littles get to work in a unique way that will keep them engaged! No sensory bins? No problem! The letter and/or picture cards pair up with the recording sheets in a way that they can stand alone without sensory bins. Sensory bins just add a little extra fun to the mix! :)
Each month will provide a new skill for students to practice! All months include letter idenification/recognition practice with a Letter Hunt!
These activities are perfect for your sensory tables during a Daily 5 Word Work center or any type of literacy center for little learners, keeping learning hands-on and engaging! You can print out the recording sheets and have students use individually, or place them in a dry-erase pocket to use over and over again.
The skills covered through the school year include:
August: letter identification and recognition practice
September: beginning sounds
October: beginning sounds
November: ending sounds
December: middle sounds
January: mixed CVC words (all vowels included)
February: rhyyming
March: syllables (up to 3 syllable words)
April: beginning and ending digraphs (ch, sh, th, wh)
May: CVCe words
