Description

Looking for grocery shopping worksheets that build real-world grocery store math, consumer math, meal planning, and budgeting skills? This Grocery Shopping Worksheets Bundle includes 24 real-world shopping activities that give students practical experience using realistic online grocery store pages to find products and prices, shop for meals and everyday events, calculate grocery costs, stay within a budget, and make smart purchasing decisions.

Students don't simply read prices from a money math worksheet. They actually have to shop.

Using 12 realistic grocery shopping pages, students search for the specific foods on each grocery list, identify the correct products and package sizes, record prices, and calculate their total purchases. Each shopping page contains many different grocery items, so students must locate what they need rather than having the answers presented directly beside the questions.

After shopping, students add their purchases, compare or subtract their total from the available grocery budget, and calculate how much money remains.

Volume 2 takes the budgeting practice one step further! Students return to the grocery shopping page, choose one additional item they can afford, record its price, and calculate their new remaining balance.

With 24 real-world grocery shopping activities, students get repeated practice with grocery shopping, money math, meal planning, budgeting, and everyday decision-making in a format that feels much more like a real shopping experience.

HOW IT WORKS

For each activity, students:

  1. Read the grocery shopping list.
  2. Search the corresponding grocery store page.
  3. Locate the required grocery items.
  4. Identify the correct products, package sizes, and prices.
  5. Record each price on the worksheet.
  6. Add the cost of their purchases.
  7. Check or subtract their total from the available budget.
  8. Calculate how much money is left.

Volume 1: Students shop for 6 grocery items per activity and determine whether their purchases fit within the available budget.

Volume 2: Students shop for 7 grocery items per activity, calculate their remaining balance, and choose one additional affordable item from the shopping page.

Students may use a calculator, allowing the focus to remain on grocery shopping, locating information, reading prices, working with money, and making practical purchasing decisions rather than computation alone.
