Description

The Dangers of Youth Vaping and e-Cigarettes – This health science lesson explores what vaping and e-cigarettes are and why they are especially harmful to young people, especially teens. It introduces at a middle school level what is found in vape liquids and aerosols, including nicotine and other chemicals, and explains why there are so many teens vaping.

The lesson focuses on how vaping affects the developing brain, lungs, heart, and overall health. It also examines addiction, social pressures, and the legal and school consequences of teen vaping. The lesson concludes by reinforcing healthy choices and strategies students can use to resist peer pressure and avoid vaping.

The lesson was designed for a student in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and uses terminology at the appropriate level. If you are looking for HIGH SCHOOL, CLICK HERE.

Google and Distance Learning Ready

  • This lesson includes both Office and Google formats for ALL resources. The presentation is in PowerPoint and Google Slides while all documents contain Word and Google Doc versions.
  • Your resource is perfect for distance learning and integrates seamlessly with Google Classroom as I've included a link that will automatically create a copy of the resources and put them directly into your Google Drive with one click.
