The Turkeys in Disguise Thanksgiving Writing Activities | Disguise a Turkey is a fun activity for students to practice persuasive writing and introduce ethos, pathos, and logos. In the lesson, Turkeys in Disguise, students will write a Turkey in Disguise persuasive paragraph or multiple paragraphs. Before students start writing there is an interactive notebook component for students to take notes on ethos, pathos, and logos and analyze an example. After note-taking and analyzing students will plan writing using a graphic organizer for topic sentence/claim, each mode of persuasion, and a conclusion.
For added fun students can make turkeys in disguise. Have my students trace hands and make turkeys (turkey disguise template NOT included).
