This beginning French listening activity (movie talk) includes a pre and post viewing activity worksheet for students, a teacher instruction page, a story script and an answer key as well as a link to the video. Also includes a running dictation to help your students prepare for retelling and rewriting the story.
Pip dreams of being a guide dog, but he's too small. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in effort. But sometimes, even your best isn't good enough. Will Pip be able to overcome his challenges and be the hero he wants to be?
This is easily suitable for level 2 French students, and could be adapted to more advanced levels by adding/removing some of the details in the story.
This French movie talk includes:
- a pre-viewing activity worksheet for students
- a post-viewing activity worksheet with comprehension questions
- a teacher instruction page and link to the video
- a story script
- a running dictation activity
- answer key

October 10, 2026I left this as a packet for level 2 students in addition to other work when I was out for a few days due to surgery. I offered a few bonus points if they selected 2-3 readings to keep them busy when everything else was turned in. They loved learning about animals and many students who didn't have time while I was out chose to complete the entire packet on their own time for fun once I was back.
