Please review the preview and test the provided links before purchasing or assigning the activity. School filters and district restrictions may prevent some external content from loading.
LANGUAGE AND DIFFICULTY
This resource focuses on French food vocabulary, careful reading, and problem-solving. Some clues can be challenging, so the teacher guide and answer key allow you to offer hints or adjust the number of locks.
Before publishing this description, specify which directions, background information, videos, and student-facing clues are in French and which are in English. This will help buyers determine whether the language balance fits their class.

• La nourriture vocabulary review
• Beginning-of-unit engagement
• End-of-unit review

I liked this escape room last year but now i'm having trouble viewing the image.

Are you referring to the main image, or one of the images on the clues? It could be that your district has blocked access to ThingLink, which is what hosts the image.

I loved the idea of this resource, but unfortunately both my students and I found some of the activities confusing. I had planned to use it for my 5 different class sections, but after trying it with my strongest group and seeing their frustration with some of the activities I decided not to use it with my other classes.

The idea was great, and the students were enthusiastic about using it to supplement their foods vocabulary. However, one of the weblinks in the game did not work, which was disappointing to me and confusing for the kids. They were unable to solve one of the scenarios, so I had to just give them the answer. Edit: The link that did not work was the puzzle part to clue #1. (There were two links for clue #1: a menu and, apparently, a puzzle.) The puzzle would not load for me on my MacBook Pro or on my students' Chromebooks. We all tried on our school internet. I also tried at home on my own Wi-Fi. It would not load there either.

I'm sorry to hear that - could you please let me know which link it is that wasn't working for you? I just checked them and they all came up for me, so it's possible that your district has blocked one of the sites.
