I am thoroughly impressed with the Unit 5 resource on Argument and Persuasion for Multiage K-2! This 170+ page resource is a comprehensive tool that effectively engages young learners in the essential skills of argumentation and persuasion. The choice of mentor texts, "Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" by Mo Willems and "Do Not Open This Book" by Andy Lee, is fantastic. These relatable and entertaining stories not only captivate students but also serve as perfect examples to explore persuasive techniques and argument structure. The resource includes an editable PowerPoint presentation filled with vibrant slides and embedded animations that truly bring the lessons to life. I appreciate the flexibility of having a PDF for printing and a Google Slides version, which makes it accessible for various classroom settings. This versatility ensures that I can easily integrate it into my teaching style. What I love most about this unit is how it saves time for busy educators like me. The pre-designed slides and activities require minimal preparation, allowing me to focus on delivering engaging lessons. The engaging visuals keep my students focused, and the consistent design with Google fonts makes formatting a breeze. This unit truly transforms English lessons by helping students understand how persuasive language and visuals impact storytelling. It encourages them to craft their own arguments using evidence and illustrations while fostering collaboration through role-play and discussions. The learning outcomes are well-defined, catering to both Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 students, which is ideal for a multiage setting. Overall, I highly recommend this resource for any K-2 classroom looking to enhance their approach to argument and persuasion. It’s a well-thought-out, engaging, and effective way to teach these critical skills while inspiring creativity and critical thinking in young learners!

Whilst this resource saved me a lot of time in developing my own resources there is a lot in it. Whilst I know it's taken directly from the DET unit of work, perhaps for the price some further differentiation options would be good.
