Tools of Astronomy Poster Project and Gallery Walk
Looking for a project to introduce your Astronomy Unit? Seeking a way to incorporate independent research and student discovery? Ready to engage your students on the tools and technology of space? When I did this project with my students, I had 100% participation the whole time! (No... really!). In this project, your Earth and Space science students will become experts in their chosen tool. After researching and completing a tool brag sheet, students will then transfer their work onto a colorful and creative poster to display to the class. Lastly, students engage in a gallery walk to explore the various tools, missions, telescopes and experiments centered around space exploration that the class researched, pulling out information from each poster. This project is a great way to engage students, allow for creativity and promote classroom community in a structured and positive way! This resource is ready to go with all the essentials-just add the poster board!

For Calculating Hourly Wages and Overtime Pay Pixel Art
While I absolutely enjoy this resource, I had some initial difficulty getting my students to actually be able to work on it individually. First, it is online only through google slides; so, I made a copy as instructed. However, the mistake I made was sharing that copy with all of my students. When they accessed it, they were all editing the same copy. I had to make a copy for each of my students and share it with them individually. Second, I had to give each student editor permission (I only missed this step twice). That being said I do love the resource as it self-checks, enabling students to get a 100% and complete the picture. I plan to us it again.

Hi Velma, thank you for letting us know you liked this resource. Typically, once you create your own copy, we recommend sharing that through your schools Learning Management system and then there is typically a spot to click that creates individual copies for students. Hopefully that can streamline that process for you for future use!
