Description
These consonant blend word poems and worksheets are the perfect decodable text passages and activities for struggling and beginning readers. They are aligned with the science of reading and the Orton-Gillingham approach to provide a sequential and systematic way to develop early reading skills.
If you have struggling readers with low confidence, using these short, decodable rhyming poems will allow even reluctant readers to read with success.
Each poem has a warmup practice sheet that includes consonant review with mouth positioning pictures, target blend practice, phonemic awareness, decodable word building, and vocabulary.
Included are 25 poems that each focus on a different blend and 2 review poems. Before and after reading activities make this workbook ideal for all readers. There are 49 interactive digital Google Slides for additional practice. Plus, they are silly, engaging, and help instill a love for wordplay!
