Looking for a simple activity for back to school? The Back to School Autobiography Activity is a great first-week activity to get to know your students. Use the editable activity and rubric to help your students create a peaks and valleys scene. This will engage students and create a beautiful activity for your bulletin board display to kick off the school year.
The activity asks students to share about their foundation, high points and disappointments, and hopes and dreams. It also asks students to write about the illustration. This is a great way to get a baseline on your student’s writing strengths and areas for growth.

“This is one of my favorite back to school activities where the students use this to decorate their portfolios for the year. I love giving them back to them at the end of the year so they can see how they have either stayed the same or changed over the course.”
“I look forward to using this at the beginning of the year.”
